It struck me that the only practical use giant robot fighting machines could ever have would be in battling zombies.

And it struck me that the only practical weapon the government could create that would guarantee a safe way to fight a contagious zombie horde would be by inventing giant robotic fighting machines.

The robots could squish all the zombies and never be infected, while pilots inside are safe as they use their flame throwers, giant shotguns and other monstrous weapons to destroy hordes of hungry zombies.

So, who wants to make this movie.

Or the video game.

A tank would probably be more effective. In addition to the cannon, they also carry machine guns and some are fully sealed against chemical/biological weapons which should make them safe from zombie infections.

A nuclear sub or carrier would probably be a nice place to be as well.

Wouldn't something airborne be most effective?

Wouldn't the best way to fight zombies be drones? Either ground drones with chainsaw arms or air drones with rotors that can chop heads off.

Or hell, farm equipment threshing machines with a remote control.

I'd think taking out zombies would actually be pretty easy, even in an urban environment, so long as discipline could be maintained.

Sounds like a boring movie, probably. Where's the crisis and tension?

Uhh, the drones stop working and there's a two man team whose job it is to keep the drones running, so the guy has to go on repair runs while the woman stays behind to monitor from a sky base...
