I have a 2500 word short scifi short story. Any help you can give is appreciated. this is the first sceen of the story. if you are interested let me know.
No one really knows how many systems were inhabited before the war. The remaining records are incomplete, though there are many legends, tales of decadence and the atrocities that go with it, tales of genetic codes so skewed as to produce human horrors unimaginable. So far in our search none of these legends have been substantiated. Numerous survey and exploratory ships have been sent out in search of the remnants of our once great star spanning civilization. Many devastated planets have been found and explored; a great leap in technology has come about as a result. Though we’ve come across nothing but ruins, we keep searching…searching for our past…searching for our brothers.
