For some reason I enjoy reading fantasy stories which involve thieving and assassinations. Jimmy the Hand from Feist's works is one of my favorite characters. I was disappointed with the outcome of Robin Hobb's Farseer trilogy, simply because I thought Fitz being an assassin wasn't the most important part of the story.

So, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm open to rustic fantasy as well as modern and futuristic, as long as it is in fact fantasy and has some magic elements.

Thanks.

Michael Shea's Nifft the Lean series.
Nifft the Lean
The Mines of Behemoth
The A'Rak

I think there was one more but can't remember the name.
I liked them but must admit it was 15-20 years ago.

I can't get the htm codes to work so: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0756400023/qid=1121998556/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_ur_2_1/104-8840442-3260733
Assasin Fantastic and http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0886775876/qid=1121998470/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_ur_2_1/104-8840442-3260733 The Legend of Nightfall come to mind first.
I haven't read the Return of Nightfall yet.

I also love good assasin stories and would love suggested books.

none of you guys have brought up the absolute classic duo in that area. Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser! Fritz Leiber.
