For those who find themselves just too busy to participate in November, they are doing it in June, and I hear, in August.

Or we crazy souls for whom a single NaNo event a year isn't enough.

They are doing both June and August. I'm signed up for June so far. I'm not sure about August, but if I have something ready, I'll probably do it, because I can't resist a NaNo. [Smile] For anyone who's doing it and wants to add me as a buddy, it's the same username I have here, Heresy.

I've never done it before.

I'm thinking of doing it once--no, twice. Three times this year? Yeah, three times should be a good start.

Crazy souls indeed.

I just started querying for the novel I wrote during NaNoWriMo 2010! [Smile] If you've never done it, I would highly recommend the experience.

It is one of the quickest ways to build a writing resume.

Good one akeenedesign.

I'm Still working on revising one I did two years ago.

I'm not taking part in the Camp but if they had a revising month I would go for it. [Smile]
More on that Here

But I am off for two weeks soon, and like the last two years it will be a writing vacation even this year I should say revising vacation. I want to finish revising one novel, start and finish the revision of this year's NaNo novel and maybe work on that one from two years ago. Plus maybe one or two new short stories. I have a couple of new ideas I want to work on.

But then again I'm doing two novels at work and one might call me to work on it while on vacation.

I love it, doing it both in June and in November, I don't think I could handle three in one year just yet. My username is the same here just without the capitals. See you at camp!

These "cabins" Camp Nano puts you in seem very antisocial. Are all us writers such cave-dwellers, or do I just keep getting stuck in the wrong cabin?

I would like to do it, but I can't seem to find anywhere the number of words that you're supposed to write every day - isn't it like 1600 or 1660 or something? I was wondering because I'd like to use that as my daily goal.

1667 words per day. It's 50,000 words in 30 days.

The first time I did NaNo (last November), I wasn't sure I could write that much in a day either. It turned out I could write that and a lot more. You never know what you can do until you try.

Thanks, Julie. I don't know how many days I've been working on it so far, so I'll have to figure out how many words I have left until my total. And I have been surprised so far by how many words I've written. I haven't gotten up to 1667, but I've done 1400 at the most and I'm sure I can do more. Thanks a bunch!
