It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

I'm still editing, and trying to remind myself that the first round is always the slowest. I've added about 10k in the last week (that's just how I roll) or thereabouts. Into chapter 20 of 24 now of Where The Ether Flows.

I got clubbed by another new story idea and made notes on a bunch of others.

A few blog posts were made, along with some work composing one for a guest blog I was asked to do. *eep*

How about everyone else? How did you do this week?

-Julie

I wrote, mostly on the first draft of THE BARD'S GIFT, plus some revision notes on MAGIC'S APPRENTICE.

Also, two blog posts.

I'm not sure how much I wrote. I worked on my novel; it's still a long way from being done. I kind of got stuck on one scene. Lately, I've been working on a short story, because I thought if I finished something it would make me feel more accomplished. But even this story is taking a long time. I wrote a scene that popped into my head, then I did an outline, and now I'm writing through it.
But I really need to do a better job of keeping up with how many words I write each day. It might help me stay motivated. :/

I did. I finally started writing again. It felt odd at first, like I was trying my hand at something new--if only because I hadn't given it an honest effort for such a long time.

But I've written an average of a few hundred words a day for the past week. And I'm psyching myself out over the verbage spill starting August 1st with Camp NaNoWriMo. By the end of August, I'll have a good fifty thousand words written for my novel. I've never ever written that much before. It will be a dream come true.

I only managed to squeeze out a couple of writing sessions...serious circumstances ate up nearly all my free time this week.

Not much at all. [Frown] But I did clean out the attic and have a garage sale. I'd much rather be writing, but some chores have got to get done. I'll do better this week!

Indeed I did.

Nothing on my novels, one is still at the Readers. And too hot to take my laptop to work.

I wrote two stories, partially revised both of them.

Notes here and on other forums.

Two or three posts here: http://musingsofle.blogspot.com

Critted one, and maybe one other thing I can't recall.
