It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

This week I got through revisions on a novella I'm planning to publish December 10th. I've also been making notes for my next novel, though I won't need to outline it until October. I was also making notes on events for the first book on my next project.

I'm also keeping busy working on the blog tour at the end of the month for the publication of my second book, Possession, and doing a couple crits for friends.

That's it for me. How about you? Did you write?

Yes, I wrote. Mostly on the rewrite of THE SHAMAN'S CURSE. Also another version of the query for MAGE STORM.

And two blog posts.

I managed five hundred words yesterday, resuming work on my novel---while I examine options for moving the plot forward, coming up with more details, and revising what I've got. My revisions in the last month amounted to halving it.

Yes I did. And it is a mess that doesn't work! Now I can try the other approach I was contemplating but didn't have the confidence to try. I know a little more why certain books I've enjoyed thoroughly work so well.

Practice makes perfect.

early last week I worked on one of my projects in process. I cut back the beginning, which was the end of the previous story. I cut off 500 words. I still have 2000 to remove.
too busy to do anything else.
