Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Writing on a novel
Characterization
World Building
Relevant research

As for me.

Last Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS): Nothing for now.
That's a pretty easy goal. [Smile]

BLOOD IS THICKER: Contact potential reviewers. Let's make a goal of contacting 10 potential reviewers.
Um. Not even close. This is going to be harder than FIRE AND EARTH, partly because it's a sequel. [Frown]

THE BARD'S GIFT: Rethink. I can rewrite it as a straight up second-world fantasy, bypass agents and try a publishing house or two, or just e-publish it.
Continuing, but leaning heavily toward e-publishing. [Smile]

MAGE STORM: Send out three queries.
Yep. [Smile]

MAGIC AND POWER: Look it over one more time before sending it to beta readers.
Done. [Smile]

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE: Finish draft version of rewrite.
Yep. [Smile]

WEIRD OZ STORY: Write what flows. Don't force it.
I've done a little on this. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS):
Nothing for now.

BLOOD IS THICKER:
Contact potential reviewers. Let's make a goal of contacting 6 potential reviewers. I may have to rethink this and come up with an alternate plan.

THE BARD'S GIFT:
Rethink. I can rewrite it as a straight up second-world fantasy, bypass agents and try a publishing house or two, or just e-publish it. But it'd be about April. I think I can maybe do a launch once every six months without going crazy.

MAGE STORM:
Send out three queries.

MAGIC AND POWER:
Send it out to beta readers.

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE:
Run through some of the notes I made during the first draft.

WEIRD OZ STORY:
Time to get serious about writing this one. I think it's just about fully cooked, now I have to get it out on the page.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Back to work!

WARRIOR MAGE
Rewrite for descriptive color

SUNSTONE
First Draft - write 10K this week.

I'm going to try Grammarly.com to proof my manuscripts... a one month subscription. Perhaps it will eliminate my bonehead grammatical errors.
