Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group. Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

As for me.

Last Week's Goals:

MAGE STORM: Think about submitting this to a small publisher.
Still thinking. [Smile]

MAGIC AND POWER: Send out three more queries.
In spite of everything else, yes. [Smile]

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE: Continue to watch how sales go on Kindle Select.
Watching. [Smile]

THE IGNORED PROPHECY: Start working on the revisions from the first critique to come back.
Planning, but I haven't actually started on the revisions. [Smile]

BEYOND THE PROPHECY (Briefly PATHS OF CHAOS): Try to keep the first draft moving at least until I get through the next chapters I have in my head.
Still working on it. Real life limited my writing time. [Frown]

DREAMER'S ROSE: Pause, for now.
Easy one. [Smile]

WEIRD OZ: Let the new ideas ferment a bit.
Another easy one. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

MAGE STORM:
Decide whether to rewrite to a slightly older protagonist or submit to a small publisher. Or do both, sequentially. I won't have an opening for a rewrite until after the first of the year, at the earliest.

MAGIC AND POWER:
Send out three more queries.

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE:
Continue to watch how sales and borrows go on Kindle Select.

THE IGNORED PROPHECY (Probably to be retitled THE VOICE OF PROPHECY):
Start working on the revisions from the critiques.

BEYOND THE PROPHECY (Briefly PATHS OF CHAOS):
Try to get down the next couple of chapters I have in my head before I have to go back to TIP.

DREAMER'S ROSE:
Pause, for now.

WEIRD OZ:
Let the new ideas ferment a bit.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Continuing to slog through proof edits. Finished on Wednesday. Now I have to put the edits into InDesign for print, and into two MSWord files... one for Nook and one for everyone else.

Nook is different because of the way they accumulate chapter links for the table of contents.

Made steady progress on my newest book, Veiled Trove. Up to 130 pages with another 22 ready to be plugged into later chapters. Hit a huge slog the last few days getting distracted by other work and barely managed a few pages. Was hoping to get back into the swing of it today but I'm just not feeling it. Hopefully I can at least finish the chapter that's bogging me down so I can get to the climactic chapters.

Looking into promotion opportunities for my books. For the launch and 5 free days of this newest one I'm going to post it on a few sub-Reddits a cousin pointed me to, as well as all the other places I promoted my previous ones. Alongside my goal to get the books out quickly I'm trying to promote each one in one more place than the previous ones.

Also received some formatting feedback from a reader and am going to make the improvements going forward, and retroactively to my other books when I can.

So my goal for this week is to keep on with at least 10 pages a day. If I stick to it I can complete Veiled Trove and begin revisions, and if I work fast enough I might be able to get it published over the weekend and concentrate on promoting it.
