Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group. Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Writing on a novel
Characterization
World Building
Relevant research

As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

DUAL MAGICS SERIES (THE SHAMAN'S CURSE, THE VOICE OF PROPHECY, BEYOND THE PROPHECY,and WAR OF MAGIC): Prepare to set up a mailing list and start preparing first newsletter.
One more hurdle. Then I can start the mailing list. Meanwhile, it's on sale for 99 cents and I have a Book Barbarian ad on 12/6. [Smile]

DUAL MAGICS SERIES: As time permits, go through the x-ray listings for the Dual Magics boxed set and THE BARD'S GIFT.
Yeah. No. [Razz]

BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING: Keep on writing.
Yes. [Big Grin]

Wide Distribution Project (redux): Prepare a schedule and to-do list for removing books from Pronoun (which has announced that it's shutting down), change the back matter again, and republish through Draft2Digital. I can't actually start moving the books until after a couple of promotions have run.
Mulling returning some of the catalog to KDP Select. [Frown]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

The target of my prose composition ambitions is in sight yet a fingernail length out of reach. The last gap span can be and did close by half, and half again from each advance; however, clear that the full finish line cannot be crossed. The unreachable goal is apparent from that the gap distance closes up yet resists full task completion. The unattainable asymptote problem. All is not lost, though. Such mathematical phenomena are amenable to transcendence strategies.

Can't get to the goal direct or diagonal, from the front, back, or sides, nor enfilade crossfire or go over or under, no matter how much resources invested; see it, envision it attained, get to it from a remote periphery and not trying to deliberately cross it, be it -- and that's how I envision a fully satisfying and unequivocal narrative's sum greater than the whole and larger than life though of relatable broadness and specificness.
