DUAL MAGICS SERIES (THE SHAMAN'S CURSE, THE VOICE OF PROPHECY, BEYOND THE PROPHECY, and WAR OF MAGIC): Complete at least the next step to set up a mailing list. Nope.
DUAL MAGICS SERIES: As time permits, go through the x-ray listings for the Dual Magics boxed set and THE BARD'S GIFT. Nope.
BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING: Leave it alone until the critiques come back. Easy one.
BECOME: TO RIDE THE STORM: Continue the first draft. Yes.

Why does this happen, as if I didn't know: The work on the draft board moves apace, yet another, more sparkly shiny idea arises full formed; it outshines the work in process.

A lengthy sketched outline is my process for idea interventions; also, that tests if the idea is drama worthy and complete enough for further development. This sketch ran to a thousand words scatter-shot onto a page. Next, after the project in process reaches some kind of full realization, conversion of the sketch to a draft narrative. Oh how I loathe narratives that stall at sketched summary and explanation status, published or otherwise, others' or mine.

Funny thing, I have had the same experience. Sometimes I try to remember for later usage. Sometimes I start it with enough written so I know where to start up and sometimes I go after the fresh squirrel
