I've been away long enough that I figure I should probably reintroduce myself. My name is Mary Robinette Kowal. I attended OSC's Bootcamp in 2005. In 2008, I won the Campbell Award for Best New Writer. Last year, I won the Hugo for Short Story (squee!) and I'm the SFWA Vice President.
Oh. And I'm a professional puppeteer.

And not to mention having a couple of novels published.
I think you would be able to teach us a thing or three about writing...if you have the time. I hear puppeteering is time consuming...not to mention being VP of SFWA.
However if you try to check out the changes in the treehouse do be careful if you see a new unicorn, she can be mean.

Welcome, welcome! It's lovely to see you again (and I enjoyed seeing you at Wellers as well).
I hope you're getting settled in your new home, and finding time to sit back and relax a bit.

Don't listen to any of these guys. They'll steer you wrong. You can trust me. I have an editor in my back pocket. I can get your next story published - and get this - she'll pay you for it. Nope. Not kidding at all. 1/10 a cent per word (up to five bucks).
Yep. You got to know which people to butter up too. I got ya back.

Welcome! What I'd like to know is, how DOES one get in the Boot Camp? I was rejected this year and I need some insider tips! In the meantime, I'm working on my craft (that's my story, anyway, and I'm stickin' to it!).

Hey, Mary Robinette! Greetings from the Columbia Gorge. I haven't checked in myself for a long time, and am surprised to see you here. I met your buddy Ken Scholes a couple of years ago and told him I knew you, in an on-line sort of way. He said he was very grateful for the help you and Aliette give him. I'm always pleased to hear of your continuing success.
