Not sure how screenwriting is considered among the Hatrackers (the black sheep of the craft, perhaps?), but for those interested in trying their hand at it there is a challenge coming up.On April 16 whoever signs up has to write a 15 pages screenplay - genre and subject will be given on that day - and you have 8 days to write it and submit it. Anyone from anywhere in the world can submit; it's all done online. (there is an entry fee of $49 for the chance at cash, prizes, and minor fame; this is a legit competition going 7 years; something very much like WOTF; but typical submission range around only 100+, I think.)
The winners of the 1st Round advances to Round two where the challenge is to write a 15 page screenplay you have to finish and submit in 24hrs! Seven prizes are given out (cash+gifts).
