Having just read the first three installments of what was supposed to be a trilogy, I'm very happy to find that there will be a fourth book. Don't you just love a plot that doubles itself as you write? After searching the forums and elsewhere on the website, I couldn't find anything recent on the status of the next installment.

Understanding that Mr. Card has a heaping measure of work to do with other projects and responsibilities, I wonder if one of the members of this forum might know of anything regarding this upcoming book. The last update I saw was last January, and he mentioned working on the EG script, working at SVU, and another book that TOR was going to publish for him, but nothing since has mentioned when he might be working on this very wonderful peak into the lives of these good women.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. [Smile]

I don't believe he's currently working on it. His Works in Project page keeps a list of what's next to be written.

You know, as long as I've lurked around on this website, I never noticed the works in progress page! I see that Rasputin (Lovelock #2) is listed there. I thought this book was put on the back burner. So does anyone know if it's really in progress? That would be awesome!

At a Magic Street signing, Card indicated that he had been blocked by dealing with some main characters he didn't like, and that realization had possibly gotten the project back on track. But that was about a year and a half ago. The works in progress page isn't really binding. Empire appeared relatively suddenly without "waiting in line" behind Rasputin. Christmas in Battle School used to be on there, but was never published. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't count on the works in progress page much.
