I know there has been discussion about an EG FPS or an EG Homeworld varient but I have to ask why not an ES Strategy game? You can choose any nation/block you wish and control its economy, diplomacy and its military strategy for the ultimate goal of conquering the world. The closest thing out there is a "Modern day mod" for Hearts of Iron 2 which takes the WWII scenario and puts it in the 21st century.

Sounds cool, but what does it mean? No, I'm just kidding. After being forced to watch two hours of Aqua Teen Hunger Force it is hard not to quote.
Its a good idea, but I doubt it would sell very well because of the premise and the amount of games similar to that in at least one way. You would have to get some awesome advertising.

My friends and I were creating a half-life mod that was called Ender's Game: Battleschool, but was quickly deterred by legal ramifications and lack of knowledge pertaining to in depth C++. I think it would be awesome to have an online game that is purely strategic and FPS. That was my vision when starting the mod.

Well for an Ender's Shadow Game I doubt it having any kind of FPS aspect would be doable since its on a Grand Strategic scale of nation-states rather then a smaller compund FPS (though I can imagine an Ende'rs Shadow 007 remake with Bean as the main character ). However I don't really think making a game based off of this is nessasary I think just modding the Hoi2 game engine will give the same results . I'm just thinking out loud here.
