I really enjoyed Empire. A question about who is who though....
Verus is most likely based on George Soros (no need to confirm, he could as easily be any big money lefty)
Is there a real life analog for Torrent? Maybe not as Augustus to be (if that is what he is to become), but even as a history writer. I ask because I would like to read his books.
One other observation, I was suprised at the minor role of homeland security within Empire. Should they have been a bigger player in the fight against the progressives?
A fun read though, action packed and thought provoking.
