Does anyone know if there's any planned sequel to Children of the Mind? I find that it kind of left us hanging a bit... I mean, what about the Descolada planet and the beings who live there?
I picked up "Ender's Shadow" thinking that it might finish off the story, but I guess I was wrong. Not saying anything bad about Ender's Shadow, but I was a bit dissapointed when I discovered that the rest of the series invlolving Ender Wiggin follows a different storyline! I don't know about anyone else, but I think a final book to kind of wrap it up would be awesome.

You may get your wish. Word is that OSC may be writing a final Ender novel which will take place after CotM, and bridge the gap between the original quartet and the Shadow series. That's all that we know so far. In the meantime, I suggest that you read the rest of the shadow books. As you probably know, the 4th and final one, Shadow of the Giant, just came out. I haven't gotten my copy yet, but I hear that it's really good.

Even with a closing book, however, I think you will find loose ends. Uncle Orson tends to write toward a realistic fashion and in real life loose ends are always out there!

I certainly hope so! I just started Ender's Shadow and I plan on finishing this series as well. Bean, just a scrawny little starving kid? Hmm...
Thanks for that little bit of peace of mind though, I can't wait for the conclusion of the story! (Well, if the rumor(s) are true...)
