Wheeew! We just survived a HUGE old thunderstorm! Sky went green and we got the tornado warning and I had to run around the whole building yelling at people to get to the shelters.

I'm so glad we moved to Kentucky. From what I've heard, the big storms (tornado-type) generally miss us. This time in Indiana it seems like there's a tornado warning every other day. I won't miss gathering the kids up and huddling in the bathroom with them.

That glowing green color around an imminent tornado is one of the coolest things I've ever seen...

Here's a picture I took around 1:30 today - just uploaded it as the storm hit. The storm dropped buckets of rain and moved on - none of that nickel-sized hail they predicted.
On the bright side, we are in a tornado watch ...
On the down side, my family lives in a mobile home ...

yea, holy crap. Northwest Ohio was just crapped on with all kind of rain, thunder and lightning. Lots of fun when your inside but really bad when you have to pick up kids, drive and then run through it. not to mention getting home to let the stupid dog out that enjoys rolling in all the standing water.

Here I am in East Central Ohio and the sky is rumbling something fierce, and it's getting dark. Is that mess headed north or south as it heads east? Hub will be scraping the driveway back up the hill again tomorrow...

We only have monsoon for a month with flash floods in low areas, but that's it, and it only affects morons that drive through low areas during thunderstorms.

That's the newspaper I work for, and the first 2 news articles are about the tornado.
Note: the articles change every day, so after about 10 p.m. (Central) May 22, 2004, to see the articles you will have to click on "search stories" on the left, search in "top stories," search type is "date search," and enter the date as 05/22/2004.

You know, that looks like "tomato articles". I wondered for a second what you linked to it for.
