So I had to send my Radiohead tickets back to the fan club for replacements after the show was cancelled. The new show is on Oct. 15th; the replacement tickets shipped out from the UK on Sept. 29th.
I still do not have them.
As it turns out, they were delivered to my cousin's house – where I was staying last summer – on Oct. 1st, but he was not notified of this until late last week. When I sent the replacements out, I specifically asked for them to be sent to my new address, but I guess nobody listened to me. When my cousin went to the Post Office to get my parcel, the people there wouldn't let him sign for it on my behalf and told him that they were going to send the parcel back. Naturally he let me know about this, but I thought it was a different parcel that wouldn't case any problems if it was just returned to its sender. Then tonight I realized that I didn't have my new tickets yet...
I pieced this story together, but what I don't know is whether or not the Post Office has already sent my precious tickets back to the UK. If they have, I may well be SOL.
Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll be calling the Post Office first thing in the morning. And now I need to somehow try to sleep, because in addition to sorting all of this stuff out I also have a rather large amount of work to do tomorrow.

did i ever tell you about almost seeing radiohead? they were opening for rem. i had tickets. i had damn good seats.
i also had a mother who decided at the last minute that we weren't going to take my friends car, we were going to wait and go with her. and since it was 1.5 hours away we should leave 40 minutes before the show started, even though it was a saturday night and a bunch of other events were happening in hershey that weekend. obviously, i was an idiot for thinking we should leave sooner.
they ended with fake plastic trees. i know that because that's what they were playing as we ran through the parkinglot. they were gone before we got through the gate.
so. close.
hope you get your tickets.

Looks like I'm OK. I talked to the folks at W.A.S.T.E., and they invalidated the tickets that are in the mail somewhere. All I have to do is show up at the Skydome early and find the W.A.S.T.E. rep (they gave me his name and said to ask for him) to get my tickets. I'll have to remember a photo ID, of course. Other than that, looks like maybe I might get to see Radiohead tomorrow night!

Oh, I hope it works out for you! Yikes, that would be so terrible if you didn't get to see them after all this! I tell you what. If something goes wrong tomorrow night and they tell you sorry you can't go in then just sneak in. I give you permission. It's the only thing to do! I heard the tour was just fantastic! Life changing experience, I heard. I wish so badly I could see them. Hope you enjoy it!
