I put this in the T-shirt thread first, but you're never going to see it there.

I've got prices quotes, I'm putting all the options together and will start a new thread in the next couple of days.

Taalcon, did you see katharina's request for your JatraCon design with a changed tagline to Like Your Real Friends. Only Smarter.?" Are you willing to make that mod for us? Also, can you send me the images in ESP format? That's what the shirt guy requested.... And I didn't ask, but I think it would make sense to send it as a black image on white background, if you don't mind. The shirts will be white on navy, of course.

Kama, can you also send me your Kiss Me design black on white, as an ESP file? If you can't do the format, send it to me however you can and I'll get it modded. Nobody has expressed a color preference for this shirt, so I don't know if y'all still want it, but I found something I think it'll look really cute on so I'm going to throw it out there and see if anyone bites.

I am sensing . . . yes, I think it's a file. Seems to be . . . hmm . . . *concentrates* . . . yes, a graphic of some kind.

An ESP file is a file you can't see, touch, taste, hear or feel no matter how hard you try, yet you know it's there somewhere, dammit!

or possibly EPS? I am fairly sure that is commonly used in printing, for this I do not know...

Wow. If people still use encapsulated postscript I'll eat my hat. At least, I haven't seen an EPS since the Win3.1 days.

I've never heard the full name of the extension, but would you like some salt with that hat? I had to save a file for my mum to run off at the print shop she works at, and that's the file the computer people said to send through...

Whatever. I'm sending a jpg file when I get home. I can make it larger, too, if you want.

Eek, my bad, it was EPS. I got the instructions over e-mail, and just glanced. Just send it as a jpg, will be fine.

I'm sure the screen printing technology is not exactly up to date. [Wink]

Richard, I've run into a lot of publishing houses that still ask for everything as color-separated EPS.

Yeah, EPS is still very much an accepted standard for printing. I see it all the time.

Just so there's a third witness to TomD and fugu:

Yep. The EPS file format is still very much alive.

EDIT: Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator allow you to save JPEG and GIF files as EPS. So if you were using one of those programs, Kama, it's most likely the correct format.

But I can't send the e-mail if I don't have the address! [Razz]

I read that as "I can't send thee e-mail if I don't have the address."

I'm losing my mind. And going Amish.

E-mail-sending Amish? Must be a Mennonite.

Kat, you do realize that encouraging someone you'll be sharing a room with to make bad jokes might be considered unwise? [Evil]
