I have recently become extremely interested in crop circles. I was previously not interested because I remember seeing rather boring crop circles; simple circles and loops linked by lines. About a week ago I turned on the tv to see a short program about crop circles and saw some of the breathtaking designs that fill summer fields around the world.
I am most definately in the camp which thinks that crop circles are man-made , although I am open to think that some slightly strange things happen around them. I also think they are an extremely worthy art form.
However, there are others (cerealogists) who think otherwise.
I wondered what people think of the phenomenon, not only what causes them, but also if they are a waste of crops or a way of decorating the countryside in a biodegradable way.

I would say my opinion of the circles' origins are fifty-fifty. I can't say, from everything I've read and seen in documentaries, that ALL of the circles are man made. Maybe they are...but I'm definitely more of a Mulder than a Scully.

Cerealogists: probably because of crop circles in wheat, corn, and oats. They invented Chex Mix.
