JACKSON, New Jersey (AP) -- Six Flags Great Adventure is opening the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster this spring -- a thrill ride that accelerates to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds and rises 456 feet off the ground.

This is right near my house!! [The Wave] [Party] [Big Grin]

I LOVE roller coasters!

That's awesome! [Smile] Now, I may someday come to New Jersey for something other than a layover in the Newark airport!

I have to say, I'm very jealous of you that you're going to be living so near it. Just like I'm jealous of people who live near Cedar Point and Disney World. I love amusement parks.

I worked 4 summers at Six Flags over Mid America. The job was not that great.

I did meet my wife there.

My older brother worked there before I did.

He met his wife there.

My younger brother worked there after I did.

He met his wife there.

Like I said, working in an amusement park is not the best paying job, but you can't beat those fringe benefits.

Women can't resist a carny. And you can't beat the rebellion power of "Mom, Dad, I've decided to marry that guy who works at the amusement park."

Gary Paulsen writes about traveling with the carnival in some of his books, and that's what he says too.
