Well is it? Is he actually involved in a movie that at least looks uplifting with decent charecters and some sort of positive message? Good for him, I'm truely excited! [Big Grin]

That movie looks beautiful! But I've found many of Sandler's movies to be uplifting. Fifty first dates , the Wedding Singer, Punch Drunk Love - all beautiful uplifting movies. I also enjoy his more slap-stick comedies, but I think it's a stretch to call them really uplifting. [Wink]

Go Spanglish!

Yay. And it has Tea Leoni in it (Call me crazy, where most people would have posters of Carmen Electra, I'd have one of Tea Leoni, you know, if I had any posters).

Boris, I think Tea Leone is incredibly beautiful, funny, and smart.

I love Adam Sandler movies. A friend of mine from high school produces all those(or most of, anyway) movies. He started with "Problem Child," which I think was his first, and carved a new niche in the film industry for thoe adolescent boy flick. He and Adam Sandler must have hooked up at some point, because most of his movies are with him in it now.

*sings*

quote:
I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you.
I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growin old with you.
I'll miss you, kiss you, give you my coat when you are cold.
Need you,feed you,
I'll even let you hold the remote control.
So let me do the dishes in the kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink.
Oh I could be the man to grow old with you.
I wanna grow old with you.

How can you not love a man that sings this song.

This is one of the first songs my husband sang to me. It worked! [Blushing]

Tammy, have you ever heard Bob's biology song to Dana? Maybe we can find it and post it again. Funniest, cutest thing ever, and along these Sandleresque lines.

Which is exactly why I'd have the poster of her. Not one of those swimsuit posters, mind you, just one of her. [Smile]

Generally, as a rule, I don't like Adam Sandler. I find him to be very un-funny and his humor is crude and offensive. But I saw "Fifty First Dates" on the plane to Israel... and though I still thought he was his usual idiotic self, I really liked the end of it.

*SPOILERS*

I liked that Hollywood didn't do it's normal thing of getting over the problem, but rather he and Drew Barrymore learned to live with it. I found that a beautiful change from his normal antics. But I still don't like him.
