and the night, it is aching

Two lovers lie with no sheets on the bed
and the day, it is breaking

I dislike rhyming couplets a lot of the time. But this is a fantastic song, especially the remix. The imagery makes up for the rhyming. "Two lovers lie with no sheets on the bed / and the day, it is breaking" gets me every time.

See, it's a totally different mood, but one of my favorite lyrics is:

And I don't know where I'll end up tonight
Anywhere with a bar and a bathtub's alright
I've got a burning yearning for some sounds and smells and sights...

Every now and then just being able to put that on and turn it up is all that keeps me from getting in my truck and driving with no destination in mind.

Edit 'cause after that I misquoted. [Blushing]

[ROFL] Metallica? That's a different mood, certainly. [Wink]

But it conveys the same sentiment. I sort of got used to it after sixteen changes of address in five years. Living in one place for more than four months is going to be very strange.

Hmmmm. But won't you be considering whereever you end up as a stepping-stone to Australia and eventually New Zealand? So even though you may be staying in one place for longer than you're currently used to, I can't imagine you would feel settled for some time yet.
