I was sitting here innocently drinking hot chocolate when all of a sudden my front tooth chipped! What's up with that? How does that even happen? I didn't get hit with anything, and I wasn't eating anything, much less something hard. I've been drinking a lot of hot chocolate but I've been brushing my teeth pretty well too.

This is God's way of telling you to feel more guilty about ripping that tool a new one about the Windows source code.

My guess is that you had a stress fracture in your tooth allready and the heat expanded it to popping off a portion of your tooth. Hope it wasn't a big chunk.

No it didn't hurt, though it feels kind of werid. But I just realizied I was unconiously bitting my nails (I do that while programming, partially for something to do while reading code, and partially because my nails are pretty much permanently too long).
Perhaps it's just as freaky that I didn't notice that.
I was going to have to see the dentist this month anyways. Sigh, now I have to get it ground down and capped probably.
It could be worse, Hobbes. In my colorguard days I took a flagpole to the face and chipped my tooth two days before my brother's wedding. Luckily, I got it filled in time for the pictures. Couldn't do anything for my fat lip, though.

muppet, that is awesome! I vote that you replace the smiley with the chipped-tooth grinning guy.

Ouch ! Sometimes, I dream four times in a row that my teeth are falling into pieces in my mouth. And when I dream that, I really feel like it's real... After reading that, I'm sure this night I will wake up and my tongue will have to check that all my teeth are still here.
