Seriously, Teshi's got the right of it--those titles are obscure enough that without at least an author to go by it's unlikely that any of us will know who you're talking about.
What is it you like about these stories?

It's interesting how there are some authors whose talent clearly lies more in the writing of short stories than of novels. Two of my favorite authors, William Sanders and Howard Waldrop, are that way, and if it weren't for A Song of Ice and Fire I'd say the same thing about Martin. LeGuin is a damned good author any way you look at it, but I think that I've been more deeply touched by her short stories than her novels.

I agree with you about LeGuin. I like Tales from Earthsea even more than the Earthsea novels.
The best short story in my opinion, though, is The Incredible Ice Cream Suit by Ray Bradbury. And it's not even Scifi!

"Press Enter" is an incredible story. Who is that by? I've got about five anthologies that have it in it, but I'm drawing a blank.
If I had to pick a single favorite short story, it would probably be William Sander's "The Undiscovered", but it would be pretty close.

I think Press Enter is by John Varley. Correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't read it, but I've read a lot of John Varley's stuff, and I have a feeling it's by him.

I've just started reading Martian Chronicles, by Ray Bradbury, again and I'm adoring them...the stories are good on their own, but when you read them as a whole and in order they're so much better
