Not only that, but she's cute and has adorable children. It's good to know the upcoming generation is in such good hands.

Any problem?
What if I have cancer?
Or some mugger is stabbing me with a knife?
Or the planet is being hit by an asteroid?

What if the problem is that if you spend one more second on hatrack the world will blow up?

What if your problem is that you don't have enough time to post on Hatrack?

it does not do me a lot of good in getting my work done. Hatrack doesn't fill out excel spreadsheets, or run ancovas for some reason.

Though it is great at distracting me from my work...I guess that counts for something.

Huh, I never replied to this. I'll only amend my prior pronouncement to say that anything posting on hatrack can't solve, can't be solved.

[Frown] I'm not feeling very happy, and posting on hatrack isn't helping.

[Frown] I'm sorry. I hope I didn't add to it. I didn't mean to be mean about the flattery thing. I have a sucky radar when it comes to people, and societal dynamics confuses me. Going for the collected wisdom of the millenia as represented by Bartlett's seemed like a way to figure things out.

Well, I'm getting some small enjoyment from the ensuing banter. But I wish that were all it was. Just with all the threads about personal responsibility and not griping lately, I don't like to gripe. I mean, Mark's mom is in the hospital, and he is cautious about seeking pity. Maybe I need to watch Casablanca again. Something about the problems of 3 little people not amounting to a hill of beans. Not that I'm in love with someone not my husband or anything like that.
