So was the origin of the planet of the Apes monkeys some kind of causality loop? Like the cyborgs in the Terminator movies?
Then there is the new fangled version where the apes were genetically enhanced. But still dependent on the time loop to make sense, I think. Time loops and torn leather dresses are the mainstays.
