So I have a paper due on Martin Luther King Jr. in about 15 hours, give or take. I just started reading the book I have to read for the paper about two hours ago. Plus I have to work tomorrow morning, and somewhere in here I suppose I have to sleep.

One might pose the question "Why Adam, if you knew you had a paper due on the 6th, why didn't you get started on it sooner?"

Well some of that is my own fault, I read a different book (for an extra credit essay) instead of the MLK book on accident. I realized my mistake about a week ago, but between work being piled on in other classes, and my job deciding this was a sweet time to switch me from part time to full time without asking me, I never had the time. So over the course of the last week I've worked 45 hours at my job, been to school for 20 more, and many many hours in between of homework for various classes. And thus I am left with the 15 hours between now and 5:30 later today to read a 300 page book and write an essay on it.

::end rant::

I'll probably end up killing this thread later on, but I felt the need to vent, so as a reward for reading my vent, or as a reward for those smart enough to skip the rant, I present to you: Knowledge that I learned tonight in my World History Class -

"William the Conqueror was a nasty man, but in a way proved that Karma gets us all in the end. After a successful campaign of looting, plundering and raping France, which included him leaving a castle full of Normans deaf, blind, dumb [Monkeys] , and hand and footless, he met an unfortunate end in Normandy. He died the worst way I've ever heard of. His horse, having been spooked, reared up on him while he was sacking a town. Norman saddles were somewhat unique, in that they had extremely high pommels on the front and he landed on the pommel of his sadle, driving his testicles up into his body. He developed gangrene of the testicles, rotted from the inside and died shortly afterwards.

To add insult in injury, his stone crypt had already been carved, and with the heat in the summer, and the rotting flesh, his body was expanding at an alarming rate. So, his body expanding ever faster, they had to grease his crypt to squeeze him in, then, with a few hundred people packed in a church in England, his body burst open while in the crypt and oozed out a toxic stench, driving people from the church in horror. What a way to go."

Complements of my History 101 Professor. A lesson to you all in karma, your evils will come back to haunt you.

Wish me insomnia, so I can get all this done without collapsing into dreamland!

No, you do not wish you had insomnia. Insomnia does not give you more time to write papers. It gives you more time to be completely dog tired while still not being able to sleep. It is NOT FUN!!! That said...Good luck writing the paper. I'm procrastinating two right now myself. [Smile]
