So*, I'm almost hesitant to share this one, it's so weird.
You all know I watch far too much Stargate. (Especially now that we have cable and the SciFi Channel!) And I'm sure many of you have picked up that I dream about Stargate (the most common dream being that I am Samantha Carter and I get somehow stranded forever on some planet with Jack O'Neill and we get married. And stuff. )
But I had a really, really, REALLY strange one. Maybe you all can tell me if I'm crazy or not.
I was myself, but widowed. I seemed to be mostly okay about it, seeing as I was getting remarried. (Emma was about 4, so this would be three years or so from now. I have no clue how Jeff died, it didn't come into the dream.) So*, here's the weird part: I was marrying General George Hammond. For those of you who don't know, because you have only seen very recent episodes of Stargate or only seen it once or something horrid like that, Hammond is played by Don S. Davis and he's old and bald. The character has grandchildren. But that didn't seem to phase either of us in the dream! We got married and, um, stuff.
What is wrong with me? Am I insane? By the time I woke up, I was telling him I was pregnant!

Anything we get involved with can lead to wacky dreams, imo. I often have dreams that I can only describe as "World of Warcraft" style (you can tell what I do in my spare time). Last night I had a dream I was car shopping (I'm looking forward to buying a new car in a couple months and my truck wasn't working yesterday) with a guy from work (we share an office) while carrying around my little kitten (who was very affectionate yesterday). I don't really think there's anything terribly crazy to be worried about. Dreams are supposed to be weird!

Aw, but he's such a sweetie! And he is rather cute . . .
But the most salient point of your post is that you have SciFi. You really wnt to tape some post S7 SG-1 for me, right? You know you do!

Of course KPC is a great catch. I was just saying, you know, respect the Hammond. He sacrificed a lot for his country and keeping you and KPC safe from the Gou'auld.
And the dinner parties, I might do the same thing. But mostly I'd just want to talk to Daniel, I'm a history geek.

Okay, when I marry General Hammond and have SG-1 over for dinner, you can come too. Maybe we'll have a SW-themed party (I've been wanting to do that for YEARS.)

Hypothetically, if I knew that a show you wanted me to hypothetically tape for you only aired at a time when you have said you do not ask people to tape things for you, would you want me to tell you or not?

I find that impressive. Weird, but also very impressive. I never would have thought of marrying General George.
My Stargate dreams (oh yes, I'm one of you too) mostly involve a mission, being trapped with Daniel, then manage to morph into some weird Galactica-style Cylon shootout. If I'm really lucky, Harry Potter will show up and save the day.
Though the other night I had a nice dream where I talked with Sam Tarly and Brett Favre over a steak dinner.
Okay, looking back at those, I'm starting to think I have too may obsessions.

Star Wars party! I am totally coming as Han Solo. I already have the Blastech DL-44 pistol is carries, and the low ride thigh holster. Now I just need the spacer pirate garb to go with it.
I have seasons 1-5 on DVD, Costco was practically giving them away last time I was there.

Hypothetically? Well, I would not ask you to do such a thing, of course. However, if you wanted to use a tape of mine to tape something for yourself, I wouldn't mind. And if then you wanted to give me back that tape after you were done with it, well, why not?
Serious answer: oh, it's on Fridays? Does it not repeat another day? I'll have to think about that . . .
And I found the tapes! (Rather, they found me. I was moving a box, and it all but exploded. The good part was the tapes were in it.)

Well, Rivka, I did realize that that's the time that Jeff is usually getting Emma ready for bed, and it would be nice to be able to tape Stargate for him to watch later, all the way through, without interruptions. And we can't afford tapes, so we would appreciate a loan.
