I figure that this is a pretty major milestone in someone's life. I mean, a billion seconds, that's a lot. For those who have never figured it out that's 31.709 years old.
Me, I'm only barely over 713 million. I have a long time to go.
?
(Yes, it's another useless thread)

Should we have a 1 billionth second party for you when you do? What sort of gift is appropriate for such an occasion?
And rivka, by my calculations you'll turn 1 billion seconds on January 23nd, 2006, at 6:50:24 PM. Write that down, I suggest we celebrate.

Don't you need to know exactly WHEN I was born to do that calculation? IIRC what my mom told me, I was born at 5:15 am Eastern (which is 2:15 am in my current time zone, Pacific).

April 9th was 137 days ago by my adding, which I triple checked. That's through August 24th. 31 years is 977,616,000 seconds, the extra 137 days adds another 11,836,800 seconds, plus, you have lived through 8 leap years, which adds 691,200 seconds. That brings us to your current seconds age to 990,144,000, except we have to subtract the 8,100 seconds you didn't live on your original birthdate, so that figures out to 990,135,900.
So, you have 9,864,100 seconds to go until you reach 1 billion. That's 114 days and change to go, which brings us to January, 15th 2006, I was off by 8 days because I forgot before to take into account the leap days you had previously lived. The change leftover is 14,500 seconds, which is 4 hours, 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Thus, 45 minutes of handwritten math leads me to the conclusion that you shall turn 1 billion seconds on January 15th, 2006 at 4:01:40 am (Pacific time).

(And I absolutely could have calculated days since my birthday wrong. I did it once, quickly, in my head.)

raia is just over 599184000 I'm more than that, but it's too hard to figure, at least for my poor little head today.

You'll turn 1 billion seconds somewhere in the evening on September 29th, 2017. I didn't figure it out exactly, but it isn't off by more than a day.

Oi. Well, roughly, mid May, 2019. I'll give you something more exact when I get home from work.
Though, the chances of you remembering what the exact time is in 14 years are fairly small, making most of my efforts wasted, but eh, it's fun, why not.

Let me get this straight... you figured mine before yours?

I figured my number of years, and since you had turned to that number of years just a few days earlier, it was much more accurate for you than me (to raia)
