I just had to put in a plug for this wonderful movie from 1979, starring Diane Lane, Thelonious Bernard, and Laurence Olivier. I watched it last night for the first time in many years, and enjoyed it thoroughly.
For any of you who haven't seen it, it's the sweet, funny romantic adventure of an American girl living in Paris and a French boy named Daniel, along with their aged accomplice (Olivier). Diane was fantastic at age 14, and I'm glad we're seeing more of her again in recent years. Too bad the incredibly charming Thelonious Bernard gave up acting after only one more film. The soundtrack was great. Really a sweet movie overall. If you haven't seen it, rent it. If you have, watch it again!

Yes, I've seen it too and it's very cute. Laurence Olivier plays a hammy old guy, which is one role he's great at! I particularly loved the clip of a French overdub of a John Wayne movie at the start. John Wayne speaking French is pretty funny! I thought the girl who played Diane Lane's best friend did a great job too! And the guy is just adorable! I totally would have fallen for him too!

There's not much I like to see on TV, besides old movies. When this one is on, I try to catch it. It is a very sweet movie. When I first saw it, I was a bit younger than the main characters, and I still like it now, what, 30 years later.
