Actually, kat, I got to thinking about that post where you said you hated all of the spin-off forums because they take away from Hatrack, and I realized that I'm just not psychologically strong enough right now to have people hating me. So I killed the forum.

I never said hated! I just think that that's where a lot of the personalities retreat to. [Smile] And I could never hate the owner of the forum - just the effect on Hatrack. See, I'm just lazy. I like all the people I like to be in one place.

I just thought John was changing the name to something people wouldn't regularly mispronounce....

Well, it's supposed to be representative of my name, and since people quite frequently mispronounce my name I figure it fits. What's funny to me (and I'm not sure whether or not it was intentional), is that I'm sure people mispronounce "GreNME" all the time as well.

Anyway, hostony takes up to 24 hours to set up new accounts, so the board will likely be offline until tomorrow. Given the huge volume of posts we get on a daily basis, I know that this will be a huge inconvenience to everyone. I am sympathetic, but hopefully the move will be for the better.

I thought it was sockyriver.

I can only speak for myself, that I felt intimidated by how connected everyone seemed at sakeriver, which is why I never really got in regularly. Though I have to say I'd feel a lot safer there than at grenme. I only just posted my first topic at Madowl.
