I finally got a camera and I want Hatrack's advice about what facial hair style I should get. Meaning first I need to find a good "photo sharing" site (NOT MYSPACE! [Big Grin] ) and then I need to know how to "upload", if that's not self explanatory once I find a site.

And then I need the judges to way in their decisions about which facial hairstyle I should get. My bosses made me shave the fluff under my lips (for the first time ever!) so now there's pretty much no style I can't do if I stop shaving for a while (which I plan to soon when I take leave).

Who wants to help?

I think you would look good with a neatly trimmed full beard and mustache, if it grows in well. Can you show us a picture without the hat?

I probably would've gone for the trimmed beard/moustache look by now, but I don't think it will work too well with my natural hair colour and thickness.

I second Uprooted's comment. (I'm a sucker for facial hair.)

It sounds like you're gonna have to shave it off anyway when your leave ends, yes?

Anyway, if that's the case, I say go for a full beard and let it grow for your leave time, then before you shave it all off, shave it off in pieces (i.e. leave a vandyke, then leave just the moustache, etc.) then take photos of each phase and post them for us to judge. [Smile]

I, too, am a sucker for the full beard thing. You look as if you have irritable, acne-prone skin. Shaving probably irritates it more, no? And a beard would hide any bad spots, so I think it would be spot on for you.

I think you look cute without facial hair.

But I hate facial hair with a passion. Ew.

I agree with pH, facial hair, not so cool on teenage guys, better about 22.

Experiment away with the following exceptions that make me shudder, always:

Sideburns of 70's era or muttonchop or southern toothless long without beard

soul patch

stalagmites/tites hanging off underside of chin while face is shaven

fur on neck and everywhere but under nose

Kinda narrows 'er down, dont it? ROFLMAO!

I third what pH and breyerchic have said. Facial hair is not to cool on teenagers. Once you get into your 20s, then it's better, I feel.

Plus, I'd do you a favor anytime, since you spelled favor the english way. That makes me giddy. [Wink]

Alright, what all this? Please no off-colour remarks about English spellings please. I'll take my foot of this accelerator straight off, and come round and give you a walloping. That's if the tyres haven't blown mind you. [Big Grin]

I'll vote with a few of the other Hatrack females and say no facial hair. It will make you seem like you're trying to look older, and that will only serve to make other people think you're younger.

I don't think there's anything wrong with facial hair on teenagers, so long as it's not patchy or anything like that.

Facial hair looks good on a person depending on how it comes in, how they keep it, and their facial structure, in my opinion.

I'm not really qualified to comment on that, not having devoted all that much time to studying it.

Hell, I haven't decided whether I look better with or without facial hair.

how about another visual

I was going to say skip the facial hair, but actually, if you can grow something thick enough, it'd look pretty good.

Since you HAVE a chin, don't cover it.
