I am currently on hold with the gas company and am about to scream. Our gas was shut off due to nonpayment. Fine. I call to get it turned on and am quoted by the machine about twice what I expected. So I get a person on the phone to explain, and apparently I have to pay the past due amount, $70 deposit (we are about 10 months into the account, why a deposit now?), $40 reconnect fee, $20 fee to reconnect (what?!) and a $3 dollar late fee.
What the heck is that? That is freaking outrageous! But what can I do but suck it up and pay? I was late with a payment, so I might as well lube up my backside and wait patiently. Either I pay the bill, or take cold showers for however long it takes to get a new gas company, assuming there is one. Gah! This just makes me so mad!
Sorry for the rant, but I had to tell someone or I mighta broken the phone, computer, window and fist.
