I'll admit it, up until now I saw Jack of Fables as the "optional" title.
Spin-off. Deliberately unlikable lead character who's also the world's most unreliable narrator. Very little connection to the events to the Fables book proper.
Then 'The Bad Prince' started, giving us a very different view on the building Cosmic Epic over in 'The Good Prince'.
I love that Jack is now the center of every important story in our universe...but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have a good role.
I love that Babe the miniaturized Blue Ox is prone to a vivid internal fantasy life.
I love that Priscilla Page is turning out to be a great foil for Jack.
I love that the Pathetic Fallacy is actually a savant of sorts when it comes to the elements of Story.
And I love the twist about Wicked John.
