Really. You are going to love it. It is not going to make you want to claw your eyes out in an exaggerated facepalming. It is not going to make you dance around in your kitchen going BLARGH HOW DOES THIS STILL HAPPEN. It is a fun and happy article, hopefully not being reposted, that is full of nice thoughts all of the time.

Oh...Lord...The logic of these people... Is there a legal precident for rape? Or is that "insuring the human breed" as well? However, I was laughing so hard when I read that. Ah, silly Ruskis.

Last night at work there was a new server being trained, and she was from Russia. I mentioned this article to her and she confirmed that Russia was actually like this.
I'm still pretty horrified.

We had a staff meeting this AM in my office. They all know that I spend a lot of time, energy and frustration dealing with and responding to the several State and Federal agencies that investigate and process claims of harrasment and discrimination. I read them the article and then reminded them that it is likely the situation would be similar here, absent the legal protections our workforce has. I will gladly deal with faulty memories, exaggeration, hyperbole, and even unethical practices from plantiff's lawyers rather than go back to the workplace practices we had in this country forty years ago.
