Hopefully this will be the end of the birther issue.

Geraine, that's like hoping that the moon landing conspiracy theory will someday cease to exist. Once these conspiracy theories take hold they stay that way, regardless of, and many times IN SPITE OF, any and all available proof to the contrary.

While I think the birther movement will continue, I do share some hope that it'll relegate their rantings to unofficial channels, rather than wasting more government (and taxpayer) time.

Do these idiots honestly believe that Obama could even BE a presidential candiate (and make it through the vetting process) without possessing citizenship?

Do you guys ever read some of the comments on the Yahoo news stories. I'm not saying I think he's been a great president (IMHO, the Jury is still out on that score), but MAN some people are so freaking crazy!

Reading comments anywhere on the internet is the second best way to hate humanity, behind only reading comments on freerepublic.

ehhh or reading polls might do it to you

quote:
Nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, said they think Obama is Muslim, up from the 11 percent who said so in March 2009, according to a poll released Thursday. The proportion who correctly say he is a Christian is down to just 34 percent.

The largest share of people, 43 percent, said they don't know his religion, an increase from the 34 percent who said that in early 2009.
