The first thing it asked me was for a pick set. I guess I'll vote for my alma Mater, U of U. Do I just write "Running Utes" in this field? Or is there some way to log into the Jatraqueros thing?
It said there was a problem creating my team name. When explaining to me, pretend that I've only watched maybe 10 basketball games on TV my whole life. And I've only watched College ball the time the Utes were in the Final Four. Which was like '97.

Your pick set name is just your name, or pooka, or the like.
Actually, it seems to me there's something wrong with Yahoo at the moment. I just went to try it out with another name, and I got the same error you did.
I have no idea what I 'm doing this year. I will be demolished early, but I plan to go down in a blaze of glory.

I'm in. I might as well, since I always fill out a bracket, and I already use Yahoo fantasy sports.
I'm picking Utah to go a lot farther than they really will. I always do. The one time I tried to be realistic about their chances, they made it to the championship game (which, by the way, was in 1998). Ever since then, I just go for it.
But they will never beat Kentucky. It's some kind of curse, like with the Red Sox or Cubs.

(pukah) so was there something else I was supposed to do, once I got registered? This is the trouble with encouraging people to do things. You wind up with folks who have no clue.

My Gator roommate for one. He told me earlier that the only reason why he was taking Florida into the second round was that it was his school. So he's not too very upset about it, besides, he's gotten used to Florida going out early.

That BYU-Syracuse game looks awfully exciting, as far as I can tell from following the scoring online. Why doesn't my office have a big-screen TV?

Damn, missed this thread and failed to get in. I'm 6/8 so far in my pick 'em league, missed on Southern Illinois, and on UNC Charlotte.

Doesn't look like Air Force will pull it out. I didn't have them in my bracket, but we could only hope the high altitude and quick pace might lend a chance.
My choices look spotless so far. (How could you have /not/ chosen Manhattan?)

Now 12/16, so typical, every year I open up between 24-8 and 26-6, although if I go 12/16 tomorrow it will be the third year in a row I hit on only 24 of the opening round games.

I'm twelve for sixteen as well, but in this pool that's good enough to tie for first at this point.
I missed on Manhattan, Seton Hall, North Carolina and Alabama.
Depaul's performance last night was not encouraging. I picked them in an upset over UConn in the next round.

I've picked Duke to go all the way this year, seeing as how Kansas really doesn't probably have much of a chance to making it beyond sweet sixteen, if that.

So can I not do it now that the games have already started? I've clicked on everything I can think of and still don't know what I'm doing. I did at least get into the bracket view.

yea you're shut out now. Me too! I couldn't get to a computer that doens't block the page out in time. Oh well, I'll just have to be content with my office poll.
I have Kentucky beating Uconn in the finals

I picked pacific too. I'm actually doing pretty darn good right now. One of my brackets I haven't missed a single one, and another I only missed one.
I'd like to see how I am placed right now .
Of course my Xavier all the way pick is a joke, but still I could end up doing okay.

Damn, Xavier, are you saying you went 31-1 through the first round? Or are you just saying you went undefeated in a region. 31-1 in the first round would be beautiful, the kind of beautiful that you put $ down on moneyline if nothing else.
I had a bad night, Pacific, and UAB really did some damage to me, I had Providence going to the Sweet 16, which in retrospect wasn't the wisest call considering their late season swoon. Still I'm now 25-7 in my "pick 'em" league, not too bad through the first round and good enough for third out of twenty four people.

Sorry, yeah I meant in a region. Two of them I am doing exceptionally good in, while one is average and the other not so good.
Jeni is ahead by a point now, and UoUlawguy is tied with me. Close, but after my joke pics lose, it won't be a contest.
