Dara Horn is one of my favorite young authors. I visited her website two weeks ago and noticed that she created an interactive reading companion which provided chapter-by-chapter links to sites and pictures which reveal some of the real historical, cultural, or other roots of the stories, scenes, and incidents that appear in her novel.
Can we do something like that for one of OSC's novels? We could pick a novel and slowly collect relevant links and pictures. It would be like a web scrap book to show our appreciation for the Cards.

PSI, if you mean the ones I think, I don't think your pictures of Marek would look old enough for Cousin Marek. But what so i know? I'm just a wind god.

Ivan Bilibin did some really wonderful illustrations for Russian folk tales. Check out the picture of Baba Yaga (it's the lower one).
