Snakehead's Latest Lair: The Potomac quote: "One snakehead in the river doesn't bother me a whole lot," said Steve Early, associate director of the fisheries service for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. "But when you catch two of them in such close proximity, it really worries me that about how many more there might be." [ May 14, 2004, 04:49 PM: Message edited by: Dagonee ]

Basically it says that the two snakeheads from opposite sides of the river have been caught in the Potomac. Here's a description. Basically, they can totally decimate the fish population in new ecosystems. Very bad news. Dagonee

*just want to point out that "loose" as "in the river" and "in a metaphorically sexual way" are NOT necessarily mutually exclusive* Edit to add: not an expert on sexual morays of snakeheads, but they may indeed by "loose" in many ways. [ May 14, 2004, 05:35 PM: Message edited by: sndrake ]

Sure, I post news of an ecological disaster and you people have to engage in innuendo. That's why I love this site. Dagonee

Well, speaking of ecological disasters and all things loose... Loose gooses blamed for Lake Tahoe's pollution quote: RENO, Nevada (AP) -- A group of property owners thinks there might be a new culprit behind Lake Tahoe's declining clarity: Goose droppings. You might want to expand the thread title. Again.
