That MUST be what my friend was talking about.

Apparently I owe her my first-born child because she had the best day of my life yesterday. At the San Diego Comic-Con.

We hates her, preciousss. Why does nasty lucky girl get to see Faramir and we doesn't?

I LOVE the movie Minas Tirth. Ahhh... *drools* Love the way it resembles Constantinople.

But sometimes it just gets to me that the City is just too damn tall! It should have been more squat and city-like, instead of climbing up like a triangle. But that's just me. I'm sure they were trying to show the evolution of the City from military outpost to fort to city to capital city.

Thus having the majority of the civilian buildings in the "newest" part of the lowest circle with the outermost wall the shortest and least advanced. (Even though Tolkien said that the outermost wall was the most advanced and made of the same indestructable stuff as Orthanc.)

The same thing happened with old Roman bases and forts, cities would grow up around them and they would have to build more walls to include the growing population.

Thanks Telp, now I'm singing,

"Minas Tirith, was Constantinople
Yes Minas Tirirth was Constantinople
Long time gone Constantinople
Why did Minas Tirith get the works?
It's nobody's busines but the Orcs."

I can't believe I just clicked on a link to a navy blue box that says "Return of the King Extended Edition" embossed in Gold on it. Mainly because I thought it would be black.

Ha! I knew it would be blue! I even bet alot of money on it with someone who was sure it would be black. Now if only I could remember who it was so I can collect the money....

I think that maybe there's super-extended gift set apparently planned for next year.

I'm saving up my pesos for THAT one. I'm a box-set junkie and I can't wait for the bazillion dollar triple EE edition with even MORE extra stuff that should hopefully come out soon.

Note: I don't have factual evidence that there will be one, but I do have a lot of hope. [Big Grin]

Damn third world! Damn dolar-real conversion, making it too darn expensive! (the Miyazaki collection from Japan was also expensive, but damn! Miyazaki!)
Well...it seems my credit card will soon scream like a little girl. [Wink]

I'm all about waiting for the trilogy EE to come out in a boxed set. I've been dreaming of it for years...it must come out!
