I just tried a new one. Getting in a car accident and spending the afternoon in the hospital.
So, this morning, my dad and I had some last minute shopping to do... things we needed to buy before our trip to the states tomorrow. We were driving, and my dad slowed and then stopped at a crosswalk to let a family cross the street. The guy driving behind us either wasn't paying attention, or lost control of the car or something, and drove straight into us.
He got really hurt, and we called an ambulance... his arm was completely swollen and he said his ribs hurt. The back of my neck hurt, and I had a splitting headache, but most of all I was just completely traumatized. I ended up getting on the ambulance too... the driver wouldn't let me go home without getting my neck looked at. He took us to Hadassah hospital, in Ein Kerem, and I went to about three waiting rooms, before I was finally let in to see someone (about two hours later).
Diagnosis: Whiplash, that tomorrow is going to hurt about 50 times more than it does today. Lovely. My dad has it too, but only very mildly... and the guy who hit us is fine, nothing broken. But I'm still really shaken. And what a way to spend the flight... when my neck will be killing me, and I have to sit still for 12 hours.

(((Raia))) That really really sucks! You're going to get a big RL hug when you come out of that terminal!

The guy's airbags flew out... this is the first time I've ever seen that happen to anyone. His car was completely destroyed. Ours still runs at the moment, but has definitely seen better days. The back doors don't work at all, the thingy that moves the driver's seat up and down doesn't work, the trunk is ruined, and the car generally isn't doing too well.

That was pretty unpleasant on the flight... I don't want to go through another international flight when I'm suffering from whiplash. Ouch. But other than that, I'm now here, and it hurts, but I'll live... and I feel a lot better because I got to see both Alcon and Shira, and now I'm happy.
