I watched the webcast last week and was wondering if they found the cause of the unexpected rolling.
At the end of the webcast, the X-prize guy announced that there will be an annual launch party in New Mexico, starting next year. He expects that there will be several successful launches over the course of the 5-day party.

I was wondering why an orbital insertion wasn't the next goal for the privateers. I suppose achieving orbit is at least an order of magnitude more complicated than simply lobbing humans into the air. I guess at 62 miles, we haven't even started to contend with the radiation belts.

Well, it sounds like most of the runners up are pretty intent on getting their ships into space also, so you'll probably get to see how all of them perform.
Now that the X-Prize has been won, I hope that a new competition with loftier goals is set.

(whispers softly) For my wings are made of tungsten, and my flesh is glass and steel. I am the joy of Terra for the power that I wield. Once upon a lifetime, I died a pioneer. Now I sing within a spaceship's heart; does anybody hear?
From an old science-fiction novel, Fallen Angels. It stuck in my mind. I am glad that dream is coming true.

*bounces* When I read a newspaper for the first time in two weeks while waiting to board my plane yesterday morning (and yesterday was a LONG, 30+ hour day, so that was a long time ago), that was one of the two coolest things in the paper.
