Last week, Dan's two front teeth were loose. He lost one on Wednesday, left it for the Tooth Fairy, got his money, and was very happy.

Friday evening, he ran, screaming and bleeding, into the living room. Jen jabbed her finger at him, hit his tooth, knocked it to the back of his throat, and he swallowed it. He was mostly upset that he couldn't leave it for the Tooth Fairy, and so wouldn't be getting more money.

So I told him that this sort of thing happens sometimes, the Tooth Fairy understands, write her a note and I'll bet she leaves money anyway.

Dear Tooth Fairy,

My sister accidentally knocked my tooth out and I accidentally swallowed it but could you please leave me money anyways?

Love,
Daniel

So, she left him money Friday night.

Today I found this on his nightstand:

Dear Tooth Fairy,

My sister done it again, she poked out my other loose tooth and I swallowed it again. Please leave me money anyway.

Thank you,
Daniel

No, he didn't have another loose tooth. [ROFL]

Type this up on some fake Tooth Fairy letterhead and leave it under his pillow:

quote:
Dear Dan,

It is the policy of the Tooth Fairy to inspect the mouth of each minor claimant prior to disbursing funds. I have discovered that you have the same number of teeth as you did the last time I was here, making it impossible for you to have lost a tooth in the manner claimed.

You have been added to the probationary Tooth Fairy Defrauders list. Any further violations will result in cessation of your tooth exchange rights.

Sincerely,

The Tooth Fairy

I planned to do something like that, but I LOVE your wording!

I'm still giggling. I know it's wrong, wrong, wrong of me to get a kick out of my son trying to lie and defraud the Tooth Fairy. But I'm still laughing.

Good grief, Dag's babies are going to grow up either seriously disturbed or hilariously funny.

Besides, if my kid protested the inspection of the mouth as an illegal search and seizure, I'd probably drop the charges. [Smile]

That is so funny Boon. It's so hard when your kids do something, and you have to hide to laugh.

[Big Grin]

I showed the note to Hubby, in front of Dan, last night. Hubby read it, then looked at Dad with "that look" and Dan blushed.

Then he said, "Um, can I have it back please? I want to tear it up."

"Why?" I asked.

"Because it's a lie, and I don't want to lie to the tooth fairy. I wanted to get more money, but I don't want to be a liar."

She should leave him a note saying how "disapointed" she was in him...
