So I'm not quitting Hatrack [Smile] . Not until I have the last post on the LP thread.

Anyways, some restaurants do weird things (at least to me). For example, why do the lids of glasses have those push-buttons that say "Cola, Diet, or Other". Do you push it in so you don't forget which beverage you purchased during the course of your meal? What if it's other?

Also, why do the trash cans say "thank you" on them? Couldn't they find a better place to thank customers than on the trash? Are they thanking you for eating there or for throwing stuff away?

And for places with many restaurants in a shared area, who pays for the trash cans? Who pays for the engraving of the "thank you"? Do all of the restaurants evenly divide the cost?

1. So if there are multiple drinks being ordered people can tell them apart.

2. No.

3. Assuming you mean a food court, the food court pays.

*rails thread*

1) The names of the drinks on the top of the cups are all brown drinks... "cola," "RB," etc... those are the ones that people can't tell apart. And diet is there for obvious reasons. So if four people order drinks, one orders a coke, one orders a dr. pepper, one orders a root beer, and one orders a diet coke, how on earth can they tell their drinks apart unless the little holes are punched? The "Thank You" on the trash bin flap is for throwing away your trash. The "thank you" for patronizing the establishment comes at the end of your order at the beginning of the phrase "Thankyouandhaveanicedaypleasecomeagain."

In a food court situation, usually the restaurants pay rent to the mall management company, which in turn handles the cleaning and maintenance of all the common areas. So, directly, the mall company pays for common area trash cans. But as with most things in America, it is the end consumer who indirectly pays for it as the cost is built into the price of your sandwich, fries, and diet coke. [Big Grin]

Don't buy soda from restaurants. They all overcharge.

Hmmm. Personally I like to get myself some strawberry lemonade, as it's not often I go out to eat, so if I do I might as well have fun with it all.

You realize there are neither strawberries nor lemons in that strawberry lemonade drink?

How much fun are you having now? Huh?

You know, I still have a lot of fun, as long as I am using my imagination Ican even taste the lucious strawberries.

And California Pizzia Kitchen used to have real strawberry lemonade until about last december, when they used gross mix stuff.

Until each person nationwide save that $2.50, my money will only be enough to buy a Strawberry lemonade for an astronaut...

Who gets to decided what is good? I don't think the constitution gave the government that right. And maybe, that $2.50 I spend on a strawberry lemonade will provide me with some essential nutrients that I may be lacking.
