I am leaving the congregation I have been a member of for a decade now.
They've experienced some pretty big growth, which is not a bad thing in and of itself.
Along the way, they've experienced some philosophical changes and behaviors that I can't tolerate anymore.
I prefer my "sabbath" to be peaceful. I don't find that there anymore, and I have been struggling with this for several months now. And don't anyone lecture me about getting in there and working to change things, either. *scowl* Been there, done that.
It's just time to find a new church home. Or not.
Nathan doesn't seem very disturbed by the idea of finding a new sunday school. And he genuinely likes his collection of bible stories and tapes. And does some pretty deep thinking and candid question asking about matters spiritual . . .
I guess that ought to tell me something, eh?
