Yesterday I taught two classes with no voice.

Today I get to teach three that way! [Wall Bash]

Which means more packets for one class to work on in partners, DNA models for the bio class (they did packets yesterday), and I guess I need to figure out what I'm doing with the physics class.

If this continues tomorrow, I'm showing Magic School Bus videos. [Razz]

Oh, I almost forgot the best part! I lose my voice every year I teach. When it happens so early in the cold/allergy season, it usually means I can look forward to a SECOND time, a couple months later. [Wall Bash]

*grin* So do my students. My chem class, who had me two years ago for general science, wanted to know why they didn't get videos this time.

But they're the ones getting packets again today, and they don't have me on Friday. Such is life.

I had a math teacher in 10th grade who would lose her voice once a month or so (I'm not sure why).

She had a clicker she used to get our attention, and would have us explain problems at the board that day. It worked well enough.

She also had a squirt gun for when people got too unruly.

My math teacher in high school had a super soaker for unruly/late students. I transfered out of his class after about two days. I'm pretty sure the water gun wasn't the reason though.. athletics or something.

Wow, rivka! Now that's teaching. My bio professor taught the day after a black eye and twenty stitches in her knee. She had fallen off a ladder. But she could still talk.. Sounds like you're doing well.
