So AntiCool made me think of this; blame him if it runs into the ditch.

I'd like to know what my fellow Hatrackers think of me - what bits of my personality, etc. come through in my posting. I'm interested to know how much I project is my persona and how much is really me.

If you're interested about yourself, just post your name and say you're up for it. I don't think we need any warnings to keep it clean and fair, correct?

I can't answer -- because I've met you IRL -- so I can't distinquish which parts "come through your posting" and which parts are the loveable you that I just know is you...

p.s. and experiment is spelled e-x-p-e-r-i-m-e-n-t

edit: shucks! you changed it already!

A logical and sympathetic friend. One whom, when needed in serious threads or whose opinion we seek - is there to give the loving side/opinion and the way of a possible compromise.

(This is to my threads, that is.)

Yes, you are the bearer of civilisation.

Galadriel to Frodo.

You are Galadriel, I am Frodo. (Though my hair looks different, and I have a different personality. Assuming I am on the road to "find my true talent" using Hatrack as a community, you are the Galadriel who gave me advice and stuff to think of.)

Really, apart from my puppiness ,how am I?

Syn, I read your LJ, so I'm probably at a bit of an advantage here. You've always struck me as under-confident, which I've never understood because you seem to be such a lovely girl. Your interests are varied, and you are an incredibly passionate person. I always think you would be great as a leader in a non-profit org.

S.O., I have always liked you from the get-go. You arrived on the Hatrack scene during my first big hiatus. I remember being bummed that I wasn't here for your arrival.

Here is how you seem to me: fun-loving, extremely caring and compassionate, rational, well-thought, passionate about doing what is right. When you have something to say, it is always worth listening to. I know you and I don't agree on everything, but I always respect where you are coming from.

This is what comes to mind for me:

Space Opera: sharp, energetic, eclectic, creative, has head on straight, strong mom

Synesthesia: empathetic, sensitive, reaching, puzzled, striving, shy, longing. A writer.

Jonathon Howard: young, eager, intelligent, talkative, introspective

JH, count your number of posts already in this thread. SO, who started it, only has three. [Smile]

It's not a bad thing, it just is that way (from my perspective, at least). You remind of my sweet Gussie, who roams around the house at night, talking to himself. It's a running commentary.

I think it is cute. Kittenish, even. [Wink] I try to spur talkativeness in my husband, sometimes -- and a couple of shots of espresso always works. Not a bad thing, JH. Not at all.

Hmm... I tend to have very abstract feelings about people and things and places and whatnot.

Space Opera: I dunno, you seem like a very kind person, and I sorta see you as a dark blue/purple velvet. A lot of my associations come from people's usernames and that's what yours brings out. You have a very mothering aspect, of course, and just seem like an all-around accepting, nice person.

Synesthesia: I always saw you as a starburst kinda of yellow and pink and orange. You seem like a good person who has a lot of strong opinions, but it seems like you have a hard time expressing them.

Jonathan Howard: You come off as an earnest young man. You try a little too hard sometimes. I get an orangeish yellow with a furry texture from you.

Space Opera: tough, smart, loving, creative, hardworking, takes great care of her family.

Synesthesia: sensitive, emotional, passionate, compassionate, creative.

Jonathan Howard: earnest, eager to please, self-conscious, puppyish.

What the heck, count me in too. I think I'm fairly quiet here, so I'm curious what people would say.

Alright, I'm curious as to how people see me, and how that relates to how I see myself.

SO: You seem to me to be very open and energetic and positive (along with motherly--but those other three are motherly traits to me).

Syn: I agree with SO that you seem very passionate about lots of different things, although I think you deserve to have more confidence than you seem to feel. I think that your (gift? talent?) referenced in your name probably influences a lot of how you see the world.

JH: I don't know you that well yet, but I'll second everything that's been said so far--particularly Ryuko's use of "earnest." I think that's a good word.

That's everyone who explicitly said they were interested. If there are others in the thread who are interested, I'll post more.

Edited to add:
Stray: one of the few Hatrackers I've actually met! [Big Grin] I think you come across online very much as you do in real life...you seem very quiet and introspective, and your posts are always very thoughtful.

Shhh...I'm supposed to be during research for a class.

Ok, I'm kinda impressed. The majority of observations made about me by other posters here are spot-on. Oh, and for a few seconds I thought CT called me a "strong moron" instead of a strong mom. [ROFL] So I suppose I don't assume as strong as a persona as I thought I did. Oh, and I loved Ryuko describing people in colors...that's so cool.

Stray, you're right - you are quiet here! I often wished that posted more because I really enjoy your LJ entries. You strike me as the kind of person who doesn't mince words; when you have something to say it's important and worthy of thought.

Megan, you strike me as playful with a great sense of humor. That sense of humor, however, is balanced by a practical nature. You seem willing to give everyone a chance and are open to new ideas.

Annie is kind and loving, without being intrusive or nosey. She’s understanding, forgiving and attentive. She’s knowledgeable, smart, and an excellent problem solver. She’s good with people, funny and strong. She’s very attractive both physically and emotionally, and knows what she wants out of life. In a word: perfect.

Space Opera, you're one of the Hatrack moms, meaning that in some ways I can't distinguish your kid stories from those of other moms with young kids here. [Smile] But you seem very capable and caring. You're moderate, and very warm and friendly. You started a thread for me, and I'll always remember you for that. [Kiss] You are also one of the rare people I meet who are within a year of my age. I'm glad you're here. I like your input.

Ok...

Space Opera - you are funny, kind and thoughtful, sometimes vulnerable and always appreciative of kindness from others. Also, you kinda remind me of Jamie Lee Curtis. [Smile]

Syn - I see you as complex. You are definately kind-hearted, and are strongly affected by any injustice that you perceive. You are also kinda cool (in a good way), intelligent, passionate and self-reflective. Sometimes you seem to give up on a thought or idea, but that may be the self-reflection kicking in.

Jonathon - some-one once described you as a puppy and I think it is so apt. You are young, frisky, eager to please, energetic, intelligent, ready to fail and learn from failure. And you gambol. [Smile]

Megan - I see you as a very strong person. You are very intelligent and very grounded. You have sorted out where you are and what you want to do. It's impressive.

I don't know if anyone else posting wanted evaluation, so I won't do it unless they do.

You can do me though. [Smile]

I read here alot more than I post so I think know most of you.
Space Opera, you strike me as a very down-to-earth, caring, intelligent person. The kind of person I wish was part of my family.
Synesthesia, you seem to me as an extremely compassionate person, you feel other people's pain as if it were your own. Also, I think your a hard worker and ambitious.
Jonathon, you kind of remind me of me alot. Pretty much what was said before but I just wanted to add that. Though you're more outgoing, hence your post count [Smile]
Megan, I haven't read much of your stuff but from what I have - You remind me of alot of people I know, yet there is something original (can't find the right word right now) about you. My guess would be that you can fit in almost anwyhere pretty easily.

Oh, and I guess you could do me but I've barely had any posts so I'm not sure if anyone really knows me.

wow, this is really interesting!

Sadly, I don't think I know any of your posts well enough to make a judgement on what your personalities are like. I guess either I'm not as addicted to Hatrack as I used to be, or I haven't been paying any attention to who posts what.

I do wonder how I come across here though... I think I'm a somewhat sporatic poster so I don't know if anyone will have any insight, but I think that this is a really cool idea.

It would've been far easier had this forum been in Hebrew; gender in all pronouns (except for "I", "me" and "we". Of course, even with "you" (plural), "they" and "them" - if all of the ones addressed are females or feminine objects, you have a female-gender addressing).

I think this loses a lot by only being positives. Admittedly its nearly impoosible that you could do it any other way and have it work at all, but...

Also to be far there are less than a handful of people here at all that make me wish we had an ignore button.
