Hey, my kids and I just read a book about a moose that eats a whole garden.

At the end, there's a little song that refers to you. Just thought I'd let you know, in case you didn't.

Here's the Amazon description for those too lazy to follow the link:

From School Library Journal
In a cumulative text reminiscent of "This is the house that Jack built," a moose invades a family's vegetable garden. While the parents intone, " 'How sad!' " and " 'Too bad!,' " their child is delighted and composes a glad "Garden Song," inviting the moose to visit again to take the cauliflower, zucchini, and broccoli--foods the child dislikes. Judicious repetition of the story's short simple words make this a first-rate choice for toddlers as well as for beginning readers, who may stumble only on the names of some vegetables. The paintings feature sophisticated perspectives in highly saturated, deep colors that are almost surrealistic because of their lack of backgrounds, unusual angles, and extraneous details. A refreshing and unusual look at the common conflict between people and wildlife, be it deer, woodchuck, or moose. --(Ellen Fader, Westport Public Library, CT
Copyright 1990 Reed Business Information, Inc.--This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.)

Card catalog description:
A young child is delighted when Papa Moose visits the garden and eats almost all the vegetables.

Card again: Quite apart from the lovely allusion to our esteemed guardian moosel, this review is noteworthy for hanging far more critical weight on a story than it was ever meant to bear.

*cough*

Note the copyright statement on the review and lack of license for redistribution (though no doubt such a license is granted amazon by their TOS, it would not apply to us) [Wink]
