I can't get any of the Instant UBB codes to work in Firefox. When I push the bold button, my cursor just flickers and nothing happens.

It works fine with IE--what I am reluctantly using right now

EDIT: Is anyone else having the same problems?

Testing... bold works and italics works. I don't know what to tell you.

If you're clicking on the button and nothing happens, you might have your browser set so that javascripts are disabled.

Then again, I know close to nothing about computers. [Wink]

Ahh!!! that is what it is. I just read about the new Firefox's security issue and did the two quick fixes.

I have turned it back on and it works fine!

I think I'm confused... the fixes listed tell me to disable Javascript but Eruve says that the problem is that Javascript was not enabled. So am I supposed to turn this off?

That is the point. The fix to make sure your computer is not at risk is to disable javascript, BUT the result of diabling javascript is that the UBB instant codes won't work.

The question you have to ask yourself is whether you want your computer at risk with the ability to use javascript or do you want a more secure computer without the ability to use javascript.

I disbled my javascript and then the instant UBB buttons did not work for me. I turned javascript back on. I can live with the risk, and it sounds like firefox will come out with a patch for the security flaw soon.
